Obituary of Rochelle "Shelly" Barkan

Rochelle “Shelly” Joan Barkan, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away on January 20, 2025.

She is survived by her devoted and loving husband Phil, children Bonni (Ken) Romer and Bruce (Laurie) Barkan, grandchildren Rachel (Wesley) Scott, Sarah (Jacob) Karas, Mathew (Michelle) Barkan and Amanda Barkan, great grandchildren Rivah, Zelda, Lincoln, Benji and Noam.

Shelly, a native Denverite, was active in BMH Women's League, Hadassah, ORT, and National Council of Jewish Women; participating in travelling theater.

Shelly and Phil loved to explore the world and spend time with family. Shelly was the most generous, loving person who will be deeply missed and always remembered.

Graveside, Thursday, January 23^rd, 10:30am, Rose Hill Cemetery. Livestream on the Feldman Mortuary YouTube channel.

Visitation will take place after the service and on Friday. Please communicate with the family for details.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
