I am saddened with this news. Bill was a true legend in the meat business. He was a fantastic mentor and without his guide I would not be where I am today. My heart goes out to Iris and the whole Zucker family, may peace be with you.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Bill’s passing. Bill was not only a wonderful colleague but also a mentor who profoundly shaped the way I approached my work. Over the years, I learned so much from his expertise, wisdom, and kindness. His passion and dedication were truly inspiring.
Please know that my thoughts are with you and everyone who is grieving this tremendous loss. Bill will be greatly missed, but his memory and the lessons he imparted will always stay with us.

Mr Zucker: a Teacher in every sense of the word and always a gentleman with anyone he met. His care and respect for everyone he worked with was genuine and obvious. There are countless persons he helped and befriended, and his good works and friendships will carry on his memory for a long, long time. He will rest in peace, it was a privilege to have worked with him.

Bill was one of a kind. A fixture over many years at Nobel, Nobel/Sysco and Sysco, we all learned so much from him. And he always had a story to tell and a laugh to share. The world lost a good one. RIP Bill.

Our deepest condolences on the loss of such a special person. It is rare to have a friend, Howard, that had parents that treated everyone as one of their own. Though I did not get to spend too much time with Bill and Iris over the last years, the time spent was always heartwarming and full of love and laughter. I got to watch the last Broncos playoff game being a Superbowl victory with him and I will cherish that memory. Mr. Zucker was a gentle giant in the business world that everyone could learn from and carry his lessons into everyday life. He made everyone around him want to be better because of his caring compassionate nature.
Much love to the Zucker family and big hugs to Mrs. Z.

I am sorrow for your loss.
Bill was our leader, teacher, and trainer at Sysco….an inventor and the expert in his field. He was a role model family man, always with a joke, always with a positive attitude, and a loyal team member who was respected by all who knew him. With great pride I called him my friend.
It’s been years since I’ve seen Bill but my memories of working with this great man during my career will never fade.

I had the privilege of working with Bill for 25 years. When I started at Nobel in 1977 Bill headed up the COP (center of plate) department. While in training he taught us “rookies” the basics on meat sales and made sure we had a copy of and understanding of the “Meat Buyers Guide”. With this training internalized I felt I was ready for the streets. Nope, not even close.
Bill owned the mountains. I didn’t realize the influence he had in the ski areas until the first fall I was on territory-Vail.
We did a “ride with” and he knew every chef, sous chef, kitchen manager and owner. The respect he garnered was immediate and obvious. Bill was their consultant, innovator, menu planner, trusted partner and confidant. We made the calls, Bill got the business. Bill made it fun and trained me to sell meat. I and anyone he worked was fortunate to have him as a mentor, role model and friend.
When I consider for me, the one person that most influenced my carear, my G.O.A.T. (Greatest Of All Time) it would be
BILL ZUCKER.
Post thought::
I ran into Bill after my 2002 retirement. We had a few minutes together and I passed onto him my above thoughts.
He just smiled and said, “it was my job and I loved it”. It was a big smile.
