Obituary of Claire S. Beleskowitz

September 13, 1929 - August 1, 2024

Claire was born on September 13, 1929, in New York City.  She grew up in the Bronx, NY and later, after graduation from college, moved to the Upper West Side in Manhattan. She was a retired public-school teacher and guidance counselor with the New York City Public Schools until her retirement in 1990. In 2013 she relocated to Colorado to be close to her brother, Harold. Claire is preceded in death by her parents Sabina and Beryl Beleskowitz; and brothers Harold and Handy. 

She is survived by her nieces April Marrocco (Selden NY), Elizabeth Kramer (Selden NY), Carolyn Albani (S. Setauket NY), Marilyn Juan (Cape Coral Fl), Karin Graham (Highlands Ranch CO) and Arlene Laughton (Centennial CO); Nieces and nephews Sabrina Crotty, Heather Hadjoglou, Kathleen Laughton, Rachel Laughton, Jackie Leggett, Matthew Marrocco and Justin Restmeyer,

She often recounted her love of music, playing the piano, dancing, attachment to her heritage, Israel and her life in New York City.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to her friend, William Swartz, who aided her and her niece, Arlene Laughton, who cared for her these past several years.

The family would also like to extend their appreciation to the dedicated team at Orchard Park Healthcare Center (Centennial CO) for their compassion and care during her stay these past months.
